Soulstice spa santa rosa3/18/2023 There is no greater compliment than to have the people you most admire see & believe in you, and become part of your shared vision. Gina, Maurizia, Nikki, Carlos, Deeann, Camden, Terrie, Darien, Nicole, Sky, Minna, Christa, Rena, Karyn, Olga, Amanda, Tarika, Marcie, Jenn… and so many countless others. □It was such a gift and honor to have some of the most accomplished healers in their fields as part of our Soulstice team. Life Lesson: Never underestimate what women with absolute trust, fierce devotion to our work and diverse skill sets can accomplish together!Īll of us were especially proud to care for our community over the last three years of extreme challenge and loss - wildfires, floods, political divisiveness, and a deadly pandemic - and within our little walls provide people with solace & support, inspire empathy and healthy choices, and do our best to promote kindness and compassion. By 2020 we had four healing arts studios, a team of over seventy amazing practitioners and were happily serving the health & wellness of Marin and Sonoma Counties. With the arrival of our gifted studio manager La Reina Marshall, a year later we opened another studio in 2015, then another in 2016, and then another in 2019. Slowly - verrrry slowly… (omg so slowly) - but surely clients showed up, our team grew in size and talent, neighbors told neighbors and with steady dedication we turned profitable by our second birthday. We began with a tiny-yet-mighty team of amazing massage therapists - ⭐the fabulous four of Valerie, Toni, Jessica and Autumn ⭐- and over the next several years I worked every single day to convince Sonoma County that investing in their healing was a really wonderful idea and super worthwhile. I didn’t know a single street or human in town, so my little dog and I would walk a different neighborhood each week… meeting the community, getting to know the different flavors in the county (Sebastopol is really into garden gnomes, in case you wondered □) and inviting people to come on over and visit us. Perhaps the first (and valid) point of concern was that I’d never been to Santa Rosa. Back then I’d stepped away from a dream private practice in San Francisco where I worked with a glittering, global clientele of NBA teams, rock stars and captains of industry in order to open a small massage studio in a seriously dusty, run-down strip mall in Santa Rosa. When we first opened the door here in 2012 I’m pretty sure everyone I knew was secretly wondering if I’d lost my mind. While we notified our team and longtime clients months ago, it’s taken me a bit of time to get beyond the “get on and get through it mode,” endless check-lists and fully sink into the grief & loss, reflect on how much love I feel for everyone who was part of this journey, and now honor our collective work here.
